6 practical tips for getting the most out of your germination kit:

1. Substrate Preparation

Start by thoroughly moistening the entire growing medium in the Root Starter Kit with lukewarm water (between 23 and 26°C). Water gently, but enough to ensure even moisture distribution throughout the pot.

2. Planting the seeds

Using a pencil, make a small hole about 0.5 cm deep in the center of each pot. Place a seed in each hole, then lightly cover it with the surrounding potting soil. Do not pack down the soil; this allows the seed to emerge more easily as it germinates.

3. Create an optimal environment

Place the Root Starter Kit in a suitable mini greenhouse to control the temperature and humidity. Ideal conditions to maintain:

• Temperature: between 22 and 28°C
• Humidity: between 80% and 90%

Spray the soil with lukewarm water (at room temperature) whenever it starts to dry out. These conditions must remain consistent throughout the process. Strict adherence to this step greatly increases the success rate.

4. Germination time

If all conditions are met, the seeds will begin to sprout within 3 to 8 days. You will then see a small white root appear: the radicle, which forms the basis of the future root system.

5. Lighting and Irrigation Management

During germination, keep the seeds in complete darkness. As soon as the radicle emerges, place the seedlings under soft to moderate light suitable for young plants. Avoid overwatering, as this could cause the seedlings to become leggy (too thin and fragile) because they will stretch toward the light.

6. Repotting (between 10 and 12 days)

When the seedlings reach 2 to 4 cm in height, it's time to repot them:

• Water the pots generously to make it easier to remove the plants without damaging the roots.
• Gently press the bottom of the pot with your finger to remove each seedling.
• Repot into a larger pot (either a temporary or permanent one) depending on your growing strategy.
• This marks the beginning of the vegetative growth phase, a key stage in the plant's development.
