Furthermore, when the SILENT SEEDS team analyzed the genealogy of all the genetics developed by Seedjunky Genetics, we quickly understood that Jbeezy carries out authentic breeding work with logic, requirements and methodology, where each variety benefits from excellent stability.
This is in fact completely logical, because many of its varieties have an ultimately close genetic lineage, which makes it possible to obtain this very solid genetic stability, the only downside of all this is that ultimately many of its hybrids also have quite similar overall characteristics at all levels. (plant structure, production, aromatic profile etc.), which can become problematic over time, because it leads to perhaps excessive homogeneity within its collection, which ultimately closes the doors to genetic diversity.
Giving him all the credit he deserves, we realized after a while, around 2021/2022, that his genetic collection was starting to go a bit in circles for these same reasons, but since then he has taken other directions and he is now further diversifying his gene pool, with a view to integrating more genetic diversity into his catalog. After some reflection, the SILENT SEEDS team decided to pay tribute to his work without necessarily seeking to achieve a direct collaboration, as we have done in recent years with various prestigious breeders on the international cannabis scene. This time, we really wanted to carry out even more in-depth selection and stabilization work, which is why we undertook the project of selection and creation of the line named Mint Candy. We could have collected some qualitative elite clones of certain genetics belonging to him, to finally make an S1 version, but that was not very interesting, we wanted something more authentic, with a real creation brought by us, especially since we have the knowledge and experience to do it easily.
For the project to create the Mint Candy cannabis variety, we first made a significant selection from regular seeds of the strains. Animal Mints Bx1 And Face Mints from Seedjunky Genetics. From this first step, we have carefully preserved a male Animal Bx1 and one female Face Mints, which were then crossed with each other to obtain a new batch of regular seeds. From this new batch of seeds, a new drastic selection was made among more than 500 individuals to finally obtain our elite female clone from Animal Face Mints.
The last stage of this breeding project was therefore to cross trendy and sought-after elite clones, such as Tropicanna Cookies, RS-11 or even Face Off OG Bx2, with our clone Animal Face Mints, selected by us. Subsequently, the last step in this entire process was the carrying out of various in-depth tests, serving to verify the level of performance, and in particular the stability and quality of these new exceptional limited edition varieties, in order to ultimately have the certainty of being able to bring the greatest satisfaction to all the most demanding growers and collectors around the globe.
